Product Development

In order to appear attractive to cruise lines destinations need to ensure they can offer appropriate and sufficient product that matches the logistics and expectations of passengers. There is a fine balance between leveraging the unique selling points (USPs) of a destination into sustainable tourism products that appeal to traditional tourism as well as cruise.

In may cases existing product can be adapted to cruise markets or new products can be developed. It is also vitally important to consider logistics and capacity and match these to the different cruise lines and passengers. for example from a sustainability point of view a destination may prefer to develop specialised tours for small groups thereby targeting the adventure/expedition market rather than providing significant transport infrastructure for a mass market.

CTP can assist your destination to match its USPs and scale to match target cruise sectors by evolving existing product or developing new ones.
